Felt so comfortable staying here, could’ve stayed here forever. Will definitely be coming back, can imagine it’s even better in the summer, but was so cosy in Feb. 10/10 no faults. Can be a little harder to find in the dark for first night if you’re new to the area but after rereading the instructions and putting the satnav on, we got there quite easily. 🫶"

The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, with an easy walk to Aberporth beach and other surrounding beaches are a short car journey away. Carys makes you feel very welcome and is a really helpful and hospitable host from when you arrive - easily contactable during your stay - and keen to find out if all has been to your satisfaction when you leave. Carys has spent a lot of time tastefully decorating the cottage which has a homely yet spacious feel to it. If you are staying with your dog, the garden is totally enclosed and safe and there are many local dog friendly beaches to choose from. So, if you do happen to find Carys' place available to book, you have indeed found a gem location!"

"We have just had the most wonderful family holiday at Pennar Isaf, Carys’s place has everything you could need and the location is lovely a peaceful. Everything was even better than expected, and Carys was so thoughtful providing toys that suited our children, even bowls and a towel for our dog. The whole outside area is fully enclosed so our dog was able to potter about safely. We used the BBQ to cook steak which worked beautifully. We spent a lot of time at Tresaith beach which is dog friendly, as well as spotting seals at Cardigan coastal farm park - also dog friendly! Highly recommended and we would love to come back."

"I don’t think the word count restrictions on here will do this rental justice. In over 20 rentals during the last few years, this is up in the top 2. The property and the service received by Carys is second to none. The property location is perfect, in a quiet corner of Aberporth. It provides a great base to head out and explore the West Wales coastline (the walk to Mwnt is spectacular). It’s was, hands down, the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in and not only beautifully decorated, but with an abundance of thoughtful touches too. We went just after Christmas so it was still looking festive, which was a nice treat. Carys is a superb host - and nothing is too much trouble for her. She communicates promptly and is never intrusive. The welcome hamper was very generous - we are still making our way through the Barra Brith! We have family nearby and have already said that when we plan on visiting next, we’d not hesitate to book Carys’ place again. "

"Our trip was worth every penny. Beautiful decor, additional touches- not only a welcoming hamper but an age appropriate activity hamper for our grandchild. Lots of recommendations and even invitations to join the family for a drink. When a post storm power cut impacted the tv/ internet Carys was there within minutes to resolve the issue. We could not fault the hospitality or accommodation. Would definately recommend a visit. Lots to do in the local area with great walks and local beaches. "

The coastal walk is lovely the walk into the town was a steep hill it was fine going down coming back up was hard, 😂 Cary was very welcoming and answered my questions quickly she was a star. I would defo recommend this place if your looking for a relaxing time it’s a shame the weather wasn’t great it didn’t stop us going out and our dog loved the beach and sea I would defo return , thanks 😊"

"Pennar Isaf holiday cottage was easy to find and in the perfect location to explore! It had a large private parking area, plenty of outdoor space to sit and relax.The only very minor issues for us having dogs known to chase anything and everything, was the gaps in the main wooden gate at the entrance of the cottage and the free roaming chickens located behind a picket fence in the owners garden.The owner offered extra fencing on the garden gate and put the chickens in their pen for the duration of our stay.This was greatly appreciated! Inside, the cottage is beautifully presented and had everything you would need during your stay. The owners had really thought of everything, a dog crate,blankets and treats for the dogs. For us, a beautiful selection of local bread, fresh milk, eggs, butter, waffles and a lemon drizzle was an added bonus! The welcome by Carys felt like a greeting from a very dear old friend! She was responsive and insightful! It felt like home! Just lovely! Diolch!"

"Excellent! What a fabulous jewel in this corner of the world. Great location for walks on doorstep and local amenities with Cardigan a short drive away. Carys was the perfect host. Friendly and very caring. The attention to detail in the accommodation was second to none. We needed and wanted for nothing! Carys had thought of everything and even supplied a basket of books and toys for our daughter to play with during our stay, which was greatly received! The little touches such as the welcome basket of local food was so lovely and made us all feel really special. The cottage is in a good location, very peaceful, only a five minute drive (or 20 min walk) to Aberporth beach. Cardigan and Poppit Sands beach only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend staying here."

"Perfect accomadation and host in a beautiful location. Definitley going back as much as we can as their is so much to explore, we were lucky enough to follow a coastal path down to a secluded cove and was welcomed by some seals on both days and its only a 30 minute walk from the cottage. Aberporth beach is only a 20 minute walk from the cottage, we were again lucky enough to see dolphins on the first evening walk. Highly recommend!"

"We stayed at the cottage for 4 nights and it was lovely. When we first arrived Cary’s had left a welcome hamper with milk, butter and bread which was ideal as we didn’t arrive until late evening. We straight away noticed the dog bowls and dog towels that had been left out for us. The little touches really don’t go unnoticed! From booking Carys gave loads of amazing recommendations of walks, things to do and places to eat all of which were perfect! The cottage itself was spotless and smelt AMAZING! There isn't a huge amount to do in the immediate area except walk but that's exactly what we went for. The coastal path to the left of the property is a great walk for the dogs through fields, woods, along coast path. Bit muddy but a walker/hikers paradise with lovely views. Would definitely recommend and definitely go back"

"There are Airbnbs and then there is Cary’s Airbnb. This home is a real credit to Carys. Very well kept and extremely clean. It was very much home from home. There is a local shop and the beach was walkable albeit quite a steep hill up and down. Lovely to be able to see the stars at night there. The garden and parking area is enclosed but not secure as some of the reviews have said. Dogs can get under the gate onto the road which luckily isn’t busy. Cary’s said that now she is aware of this she will see what steps she can take to make it secure. It is a lovely home in a quiet area and I would definitely return. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and extremely appreciated by us and our dog. Thank you for letting us stay"

"If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in West Wales.. this is the place! Beautiful, clean spacious home in a gorgeous, quiet location. The secure garden was ideal for the dogs, the little touches like eggs and bread were so thoughtful. The home is so well furnished, the sofa we could of stayed on all day! The double bed was so comfy - we both slept really well. Bonus being it was like having a private tour guide. Carys gave us so many lovely recommendations, restaurants, beaches, waterfalls. "Just returned from our mid week break in Pennar Isaf, and wow what a property. Located in a quiet village, in peaceful surroundings yet only a short distance from the beach it was just what we wanted. Newly renovated, the property is finished to a high standard, top quality and spacious especially for us a family of 6 with a dog. We found it to be well equipped and the owners were extremely warm, welcoming and on hand should we have needed them but also left us our space to enjoy our time. Thought and attention to detail had been put in ahead of stay with even a dog crate, bowls, treats, towels and blanket had been put out for our pooch. Along with fresh welsh milk, eggs, bread and cakes for us on arrival. Cannot rate our stay highly enough, we really felt home from home and our only regret was not booking to stay for longer. 5 ⭐️"

"Wow what amazing attention to detail. This was the perfect break for our family weekend away (1 baby and 1 dog). Carys left a baby walker, cot & toys for our daughter & bowls, blankets & towels for our dog which saved us bringing so many things! The changing unit was particularly helpful. The location is beautiful so peaceful & relaxing and the outdoor area is lovely to sit out and relax. Carys provided us with so many recommendations which we used, pizza tipi in cardigan was lovely & Cenarth falls & the walk from aberporth to Tresaith beach. Carys left milk, eggs, bread & a fresh cake for us which was lovely. Can’t fault the property it was so clean and tidy we felt so cosy & right at home. We would love to return if we come back to west wales couldn’t recommend their place enough! They also provide a bag of logs for the fire pit which we unfortunately didn’t end up using. 10/10!!"
